Don't know what I did wrong !! by 8 weeks both my children slept through the night in darkened rooms 7 pm/7 am and by 3 months my children were trained on the potty just to do a poo. From the time they started to feed themselves they were given a child's knife & fork, bad table manners is something I do not put up with no matter how old the child. I will disagree I think when you become a mum you will always sleep with one ear open. My children are now 22/16 I don't think raising children have really changed that much.

My baby es 5 months 4 weeks (gonna be 6 next tuesday) and he does not nap during the day. He is a "catnapper". At night he was doing good waking up 2 or 3 times, but lately his been hard. Waking up every hour or 1 1/2, wanting to latch on but not hungry, and the only way for him to sleep is letting him stay between us in the bed and nipple in his mouth.

My GOD you are IGNORANT!!! Why dont you read some books or papers on the norms of human sleep and in particular how babies sleep. Ignoring a baby's crying is the most inhumane, cruel act I can think of. You'd make a great nazi.

Thank you for the tips! This is really helpful. My son will turn three month on 3/31. My son is bottle fed. At his age, he should be able to take anywhere from 6-7 oz every 3-4 hrs. However, he always eat less than that. Because if that, he would wake up very frequently when I put him down for his naps/sleep. Can you give me some tips on what I can do to help him sleep longer? I tried to let him cry it out to go back to sleep but he cried so hard. It hurts my mommy’s heart.

My newborn is 4 weeks old. should I be putting him in his crib for day naps too? Or would it be okay to put him in a bassinet in our living room/kitchen?

Elle, once Forde began sleeping through the night, how did you still keep your milk supply up once you weren't nursing him at night?

I do like a lot that youre talking about and you are a loving mom, however I do not agree that we teach them to walk, teach them to crawl, all these things, a child should be allowed to naturally develop. Ive been working in daycare for ages and Ive seen what kind of damage can be done when children are bein pushed too early to sit, crawl, walk etc. My opinion doesnt matter because what youre doing is working for you and that is awesome. Like you said , not every method works for everybody. I just want to make sure not every mom with a child that doesnt sleep much or eat well or walk yet etc watches this vid and feels like a failure if your tips dont work – its normal- every child is different!

sigh, I've read and watched all kinds sleep training and done everything possible to get my little guy to sleep through the night and nothing works, 13months old and he's waking 3-4 times through the night.
